About Lyons St Mary's Holiday Park

Tucked beside Gronant Dunes just outside Prestatyn, St Mary's Holiday Park offers a handy north Wales base for touring the coast – Rhyl, Llandudno and Conwy are all close by, while inland you can explore the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley National Landscape. Direct access from the main road makes it easy to come and go with touring vehicles, and a bus stop outside the park means you can leave the car and hop on summertime open-top services along the coast.

On-site you'll find an outdoor play area and tea room, though facilities feel fairly modest for a park of this size. The real bonus is that guests can use the swimming pool, restaurant, miniature golf and kids' activities at the sister site, Lyons Robin Hood Holiday Park, ten minutes down the road. Essential amenities are well covered – launderette, showers, accessible toilets and chemical disposal – making it a solid family-friendly option. Dogs are welcome year-round, too, if you fancy beach walks along Prestatyn's mile-and-a-half stretch of sand.

Enjoyed a weekend here in our touring caravan. Great location to nip out for days out. Kids enjoyed it and we liked the peace. The couple running this place was really nice, we'll definitely be back.

This place is great for exploring the North Welsh coast and getting down to Snowdon without all the hustle and bustle. A really pretty setting: clean, tidy and family friendly and all within a steady walk to the beach. The tea room there is an added bonus with gorgeous breakfast and certainly saves washing up! (The cake is just heavenly too!) Certainly worth a visit.

Good value for money. Had difficulty putting awning up due to wind but got it up eventually

Stayed for 2 nights camping. Pitches are good, and staff were nice! However, the gate gets locked at 11pm until 7am…we had family down the road and couldn’t stay with them till late as we had to make sure we were back in time so we didn’t get locked out all night, so this was annoying for us. Toilets / shower block are nice but don’t get cleaned often enough, they get cleaned once in a morning, so by tea time when everyone has had a shower and being using the toilets all day they are very unclean… Rubbish bins by the camping field were over flowing all weekend, all over the floor etc which seemed a bit gross too Overall not a bad site but not our cup of tea…
