Rockpool Cottage sits on the quayside in Staithes, a working harbour village on the North Yorkshire coast. The cottage faces south across the bay, with uninterrupted views of the sea from the living area and main bedroom. High cliffs shelter the property at the side and rear. You have parking for two cars on site, which is genuinely unusual for Staithes itself.
Inside, there are two double bedrooms and a bathroom with a bath and shower. The ground floor has a living and dining room with a smart TV and electric fire, plus a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—it includes an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. Bed linen, towels, wifi and heating are all included. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available if needed. There is a small yard with furniture.
The location puts you within walking distance of the harbour, the beach, and the Cleveland Way, which runs along the cliffside for 110 miles and draws serious walkers. The village is known for fossil hunting and rock pools. Staithes also has a connection to Captain Cook, who was apprenticed to a local draper. The RNLI Staithes & Runswick Lifeboat Station is nearby. Smoking is not permitted inside.
