Recently attended a family gathering here and hired the DJ. We were asked to make a shared Spotify playlist for the evening. Lots of our family contributed and the list ended up being almost 8 hours long so we knew a lot of songs wouldn’t be played. But as the evening went on, and after almost two hours, we noticed that the vast majority of songs played were not on our playlist. The ‘organiser’ and I spoke to the DJ and asked what was happening, he said, ‘well I’ve played 5 or 6 of them!’ We told him, we had paid a lot of money for him to play our music and not what he wanted to hear! The night wore on and it happened again. We had to speak to him a second time and told him we only wanted music from our playlist and again, not the ‘disco’ music that he wanted to hear. We had so many songs we wanted to hear and dance to that didn’t happen due to the DJ’s self indulgence that it somewhat spoiled the night.

Stayed overnight as close to my delivery. Non electric grass pitch on border of playing field £10 bargain. Close ish to main road, so traffic noise is audible. Family friendly site with some inflatable castles etc for the kids. On site cafe with alcohol, soft drinks, cooked food and snacks available. There is a shower and toilet in the cafe block and portaloos around the perimeter of the camp area. The site is about 30mins walk from the beach, but I did not attempt this a as I arrived late. There is also a gate to the camp site which is closed after 11pm and opened at 7.30 am although I managed to leave earlier, it would be prudent to make sure you can enter/exit at the time you require. what3words to entrance. dozen.robots.basin
