What visitors say
With family on Anglesey I've been visiting this place for 30-40 odd years on and off. I always wanted to show my kids the places I visited when I was young and today I got to do that, as it literally hasn't changed at all in that time. First things first, this is not a tropical aquarium and don't come expecting exhibits of fish and exotic creatures from around the world. There is lots to learn about British sea life, lobsters, seahorses, fish, etc and they have breeding programs and lots of info to learn on this. I do love this place, but it is looking dated with many of the exhibits showing thier age and could use a good refresh. Eg I remember the touch pools at the end, this is still there but now there's signs up not to touch, but the hand washing area is still there, making the whole space a little redundant. The wave simulators are near, but could maybe use a little clean or brighter lighting so you can get a better idea of what's going on. You'll go round this very quickly, 30-40 mins if you don't get involved in any of the talks/feeds, etc making it an expensive visit if you're in and out (which I was), however younger kids can take advantage of the crafts areas, the mini golf, the remote control boats (which I played with when I was young) and there was a bouncy castle or slide which wast in use and deflated, a little like my teenagers were. We coupled this with other activities and it worked well as part of a day out, but this definitely is more suitable for younger kids and I do feel the price point is a little high for what you get.

A lovely local Sea Life exhibition, showcasing aquatic life from UK waters; with the delightful sight of many baby sea creatures from their conservation work! Make sure you look *down* around the shark and ray tank - they're swimming under your feet beneath the catwalk! Entry is good value, with the ticket lasting a full week for a return visit. Lots of free parking available, and an overflow on the driveway on the way in. Absolutely stunning views across the water. There's a small playground (free) and toddler area (free) surrounded by a miniature golf course (additional cost), and on the day we visited there was also a bouncy castle (free). Overall, a lovely morning out!

Very small, and very quiet. Didn't find staff overly friendly.. apart from staff member on desk who took our payment, no member of staff interacted with us. I know that this is not necessarily their job but interaction with customers is what I've experienced at other similar sites. £24 for two adults and an under 1. We were really excited to go here, but in hindsight wish we hadn't. There is a great deal that you can go back every day within the week of buying your ticket, but both my wife and I agreed it was not with going back. Very little there but lobsters and jellyfish. Would say that arguably the best thing about the visit here was the drive. Beautiful views of the sea from the front gate. Given two star rather than one, as I can't make comment on the things we didn't use - the play area because it was cold outside, and the mini golf which looked closed whilst they did maintenance.

Hefty price for the experience if considering what was on offer from sea aquarium perspective. I felt, it had more varieties of lobster then fishes.. Overall still a good place if you are looking to have your kids spend few hours.. the kids play area is nice, cafe was good and the shopping collection was good. The aquarium itself is too small.. I think we covered all the sea aquarium within 30-40 mins.. rest of the time we spent in the kids play area only..

Visitors say this aquarium offers a great variety of native British sea life, including lobsters, seahorses, and jellyfish, with educational displays and conservation work. They also highlight the friendly, knowledgeable staff and the value of tickets, which allow re-entry for up to six days.
Some reviews mention the tanks can be poorly maintained.
