Alum house is such a beautiful place! Glen and Michelle (and the animals) were fantastic hosts, very helpful and welcoming and their place really is special, it's so peaceful and calm, clean and organised. We stayed in the Jenny Wren belle tent, it had its own private space with kitchen area and a hot tub, picnic bench, umbrella (luckily we didn't need it!) and everything we needed for bbqs and self catering. We'll definitely stay here again!

We have just come home from our mini moon, and we honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. It was exactly what we needed to recover from all of the excitement (and tiredness!) after our wedding. Michele and Glen were absolutely fantastic from start to finish and made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, and you can really see how much love and care has gone into creating such a special place. Zola was a lovely little bonus, too! The lodge itself was beautiful, peaceful and had everything we could possibly need. We already know we’ll miss waking up to the stunning surroundings – and we’ll definitely miss Foghorn! Thank you so much for making our mini moon so memorable. We can’t recommend this place highly enough, and we hope to be back one day. Alice & Aaron❤️

My sister surprised me with a glamping trip here for my birthday. Lovely 2 nights we stayed. We explored upto foss falls lovely walk. Michelle and Glen were amazing hosts nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcomed. Michelle took the time to introduce us to her newly hatched ducks that she had in her own backgarden. Food was lovely. Breakfast we had a sandwich and my sister had granola with lots of fruit and yoghurt. Pizzas were all homemade and delicious. The cakes were gorgeous Would stay again 😍

Celebrated my 50th here. A beautiful setting and Michelle and Glen are extremely hospitable hosts! Ace hot tub heated on arrival. Beautiful flowers, balloons and cake! Definitely recommend! Thank you!x
