What visitors say
Talk about in the middle of nowhere! Loved the location wish I lived there. Just went to be able to say I've been there but it was fabulous. Didn't see the rooms or the barn but the bad whilst quite small was beautifully rustic and full of character. Everyone who was there were friendly including the pooches. The staff bent over backwards to help you. I will definitely be back....... Loved it. ❤️

Absolutely amazing place. We were made to feel very welcome and can't wait to return. Food was amazing and good variety of drinks. Perfect location for a camp overnight or a stay in their rooms. Lovely breakfast also. Great entertainment.

We booked a table ahead, drove a very long way to stay overnight in our motorhome and were looking forward to a wonderful evening. Great pub, great location, great beer, but.........no food. It was a Monday night and half the the menu wasn't available. We were gutted as all bar one of the iconic giant yorkshire pudding fillings were off as were the majority of the other pub classics. Yes, do Tan Hill, it's great. But not on a Monday night.

A really beautiful pub, set in some absolutely breathtaking countryside with remarkable panoramic views. I bet it's amazing to camp/stay here. For a meal it was merely ok. The bartender seemed confused when we asked for some Old Fashioned's, despite them being on the cocktail menu, and had to consult with other staff about it. We just ordered pints instead. The food is very heartily portioned and impressive to look at, but was sadly lacking in flavour. We were all a little disappointed. It ain't cheap, either. It was incredibly busy when we came, so perhaps we just caught the kitchen on a bad day. I wouldn't say no to coming back though, as it is truly nestled in a stunning part of the country. It was a warm welcome, but service is slow. Would recommend reserving your table ahead of time.
