New Review 1 Star: Came to watch obsession movie, when we was walking into the cinema there was no lights on was struggling to find our seats and see our food to eat, then when movie starts they turn lights on making it hard to see the movie and ruining the experience, what kind of crazy lighting business is this when you supposed to turn lights on you dont, when they supposed to be off you leave them on for the full movie, who is running this place needs auditing. Old Review: Seats are way too small and expensive, £6.50 for basic seat which is more fit for a child rather than a adult, you can go to vue cinema and sit on the cheap seats there which are nice and spacious and very cheaper. Sort this out its a mockery to the cinema world. Carpet is very old fashioned too late 60s i was shocked to see how run down this place has become i remember coming here as a kid it used to be miles better.

Been coming here for a while, but last experience was the worst cinema experience I ever had of a lifetime. You guys allowed a couple into the screening who seemed tipsy, off their minds, and causing absolute havoc in the room. From the moment the ad began they were loud, rude, and completely inconsiderate of others around. They were actually drinking inside even from the looks of it think they had sneaked in their own alcohol I can't be sure but that's what it looked like. Their behaviour was giving walked in half drunk half off their faces vibes. Actually the man was the worst, the woman was calm ish but only responded when the man did something. It was a Friday evening and me and mates including my pregnant sister came in to spend our odeon birthday voucher there. This was supposed to be a treat and a lovely evening out but became an evening from hell. Upon challenging the man to be quiet he actually swore loudly across the room at us and even threatened. He was double our ages and I thought it was so pathetic how he handled himself. To keep the peace and to not give more stress to my sister next to me, us lads stopped challenging him and eventually after a few minutes he got up and left and than his partner after. The damage was done already though evening was totally ruined as neither of us could focus on the film anymore as we were so angry. I was very tempted to ask him to meet me outside to resolve this through a discussion but I don't think he was capable of this in the state he was in. He couldn't even walk up and down the stairs properly without stumbling, how was he even let in the first place odeon staff? Did you not observe his demeanour? It was an appalling night and my sister kept on telling us lads to just keep quiet as she didn't want more trouble as he was getting louder and louder with his threatening which was causing stress to my sister. Just for that reason alone we wanted to challenge him further but ended up listening to my sister. Although ngl, it is quite brave of him to challenge back considering he shouldn't be so loud and disruptive there in the first place, and also he is literally arguing back with three young men who are sitting all sober. This was an awful experience and a complete waste of our vouchers. We used to love coming here and this has completely destroyed the experience. I did think about reporting this during it but then I thought I will then end up missing parts of the film and that's not okay. I am so upset about this and felt so sorry for my sister in particular as she was so looking forward to this experience. It took a huge amount of patience and strength from us lads to just stay quiet after his shouting and not do anything about it. To think, there are people like this who exist, who have clearly been around for a while and still have such potty mouths and attitude, esp when they should be the first in line to set an example. Regretful experience and something that should never be tolerated. I think it ruined so many other people's experiences around too. It's a family place and it was not giving that vibe at all felt like being in a dingy pub somewhere at midnight. It was a horrible evening and I highly regret spending my birthday voucher on this branch. I'm sorry for a negative review I'm absolutely shocked by the experience.

Convenient location, usually plenty of parking. Easy online booking. Seats not the best a little small and compact, even the ‘Premier’ option. Often quiet but food as usual in cinemas overpriced and lack variety. Coffee shop onsite but closed in the evenings

OUTDATED, UNPLEASANT SMELL I visited Odeon Sandbrook Park, Rochdale on Monday for the 4:40pm showing of Moana with my wife, our two daughters, and my brother, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The cinema feels very outdated from the moment you arrive. The poster displays outside are still paper rather than digital screens, which many other cinemas now have, and even the Odeon sign has letters that are only partially lit, giving a neglected first impression. Inside, the foyer had boxes and cardboard left lying around, making it feel untidy. The toilets smelled unpleasant and are clearly in need of refurbishment. We were in Screen 3, which had a strong urine smell and wasn’t particularly clean. The biggest disappointment was the presentation of the film itself. Moana is a bright, colourful Disney film set around tropical islands and crystal-blue seas, but the projection was so dark that it took away from the experience. We also noticed visible marks on the screen that looked like crease or fold lines, which were distracting throughout the film. Another issue was finding our seats. The row indicators were very difficult to see because there was little to no lighting showing the row numbers, making it unnecessarily hard to find seats in the dark. Overall, this cinema is in desperate need of investment and refurbishment. There are much better cinema experiences available nearby, and sadly this visit did not meet the standard I would expect from Odeon. Would not return unless major refurbishment.
