What visitors say
I just had to give a review after my visit on Saturday. From the minute I fell through the door I’m sight impaired and quite unstable at times I was met with nothing more than kindness. What lovely friendly, helpful and professional assistants. On my first visit I’m sorry but I can’t remember your name my cognitive skills are poor but you were so kind, helpful and empathetic. The information you gave me set my day up to be a success rather than a frustrated jumble of wrong turns especially with the market so busy. When I was browsing your customer service went above and beyond has it did for me with natural consistency I returned again later once again excellent customer service you were busy but your colleague just the same. She even offered to go a find me a large print town map downstairs despite you being so busy! I was so impressed with that offer because that must be the first time ever I’ve been offered anything in LP from a TIC. I can’t use Apps etc so I have to do my homework prior to the visit and hope I can remember about 40% of it which I rarely can. So a LP street map really makes it so much easier. TIC’s are so undervalued in terms of funding support now The value they have when generating income for local businesses and hospitality just through providing a great service should not go unrecognised. It is happening all over the country I was in Sheringham, Norfolk 2weeks ago to find it was closing now. I was so pleased that Saffron Walden for the time being and foreseeable future has the vision to support its worth and the security of the jobs of this great team of loyal, professional and passionate staff . Please keep everyone trained with dealing with customers that have disabilities hidden or not. Thank youb

Such helpful people! We were in and out of the centre all summer with questions about bus schedules and banks and whathaveyou. Mark, Rachel, and Judith were just great. It's nice to visit a community that's so welcoming and genuinely friendly.

What a lovely place Saffron Walden is to while away a few hours. Fabulous independent local shops, great eateries and of course it is just so pretty even on a winters day. Absolutely worth a visit (or ten)!

The best Tourist Office I have came across (although I am a resident)! The staff have always been very polite, kind and helpful whenever I went in for different reasons, e.g. the purchase of theatre tickets. An asset for Saffron Walden.
