About The Normanhurst Hotel
The Normanhurst Hotel suits visitors after straightforward, no-fuss accommodation in Sale rather than a boutique stay, with 30 rooms fitted out with a fridge and microwave that make longer stays or self-catered breakfasts easy. It works well for business trips, family visits, or weddings, given the meeting rooms and dedicated wedding venue on site, and free on-site parking takes the hassle out of arriving by car.
Facilities extend well beyond the room, with an indoor swimming pool, gym, and spa or sauna available, plus a restaurant and bar for evening meals and drinks. A garden offers a quieter spot to sit outside, while porter and concierge services, luggage storage, and business services cover the practical side of a stay. Breakfast and free WiFi are included as standard.
Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the hotel is generally seen as good value for the space and facilities on offer, though some rooms have been noted as tired or in need of upkeep. Sale itself is easily reached from the hotel, making it a sensible option for those wanting comfort and convenience without a premium price tag.

What guests say
It’s a hotel that has seen better days.. but if you are paying £50-£75 a night for a hotel in Manchester I think you probably guessed that! That said the rooms are clean, beds are ok, showers work, and Wi-Fi is free … it more like 5mb speed.. but again see “how much does this Cost per night” and while no bar / restaurant ( only breakfast is available ) the rooms have microwaves and small fridges, and a co-op 5 minutes walk away.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! This hotel was not pleasant at all and we actually was supposed to stay overnight but the room was that disgusting that we ended up leaving about 30 minutes after we got there. From the start the place had a very weird vibe and looked very outdated, where we stayed (in the outer building) the hallway was disgusting with stains all over the carpets walls dirty and just looked very old and dingy. And then the room was horrible there were cobwebs all between the cabinets, urine and blood stains on the carpet, mold forming in the bathroom, dingy lights and not a pleasant smell. From after 5 minutes of being in here I was constantly sneezing with my nose being very runny and my partner had been bit by something after sitting in the bed, so after that we decided to leave since we did not feel comfortable sleeping here and decided to stay at the crown plaza which was just by the airport which was excellent.

Pretty good experience, we didn't eat there but we had a good stay, its in a great location can always get an uber to wherever you need to go in Manchester! Room and bathroom a bit tired, it looks like a very old building but the bed was so comfy and well needed and couldnt complain about the price, staff were friendly and helpful!

PLEASE do not stay here. Nothing like the photos there was black mould in the kettle and the glasses where unwashed, there was very little heating we were shaking and chattering all night, I turned the hot water on and ran a bath with the shower and tap on the hottest setting and it was lukewarm. I got there on time for my booking, there was no night bell and he said "there's a late charge but we won't charge you" WE WERENT LATE? we booked for 23-00 and got there at 20 past 11. He had us waiting outside for an hour when we explained that my girlfriend has a disability and the cold and all the walking we took to get there put her in excruciating pain. We waited for so long and It wasn't even worth it, my girlfriend was in agony. It looks like the photos from the front but its not luxurious or nice it leans more towords a council estate, please dont waste your money
