stopped here again for a holiday this July on a touring pitch with our caravan. Always found it to be excellent base to discover some of Northumberland's delights eg Seahouses, Embleton, Beadnell, Alnwick, Berwick, the Ford & Etal estate and more! The communal showers and family bathroom are a joy… piping hot water! washing up and laundry facilities always clean and pleasant to use. on this occasion I did the one to one farm tour at a cost of £60 which was worth every penny. Ben is very well qualified and tailored the tour to my level and understanding …including some parts which were undertaken in an off road vehicle! there is a £10 option for a tour in a group. I can fully recommend either option depending upon your budget for me the extra for a personal tour rather than among a group was well worth the extra money. THANK YOU BEN rather spend my money on “ experiences to remember “ than yet more “stuff” i don't need and genuinely believe that its a more sustainable way to spend my hard earned!

I love hiking and was hoping to book a wigwam with en-suite for three nights but to be fair I did leave it a little late and near the time of my stay, so I opted for the alternative given which was a basic wigwam. Check in being from 2pm The bed was comfortable and the wigwam was clean with a kettle and fridge. The shared shower/toilet block were clean and adequate for me as a solo traveller. There is a shared kitchen area but I can’t comment on that as I never used it and brought my own coffee machine + pods with me and had a light breakfast in the mornings before setting off on my walks, I then chose to eat out during the day but I do realise this could be quite pricey if travelling with family, so the shared kitchen is a nice touch. Bamburgh and the surrounding area has always been one of my favourite “go to” places, the scenery is breathtaking and never fails to disappoint, so is a must if you want to share in it’s beauty. I found everyone on and off the campsite so friendly. My only gripe would have to be the fact that the wigwam had to be vacated by 10am on the morning of departure. Another hour or so would have been nice. You have to bring your own bedding and the mattresses are waterproof. I do get it if there are beds to make up and an en-suite + kitchen area to clean but not when in a basic Wigwam hence the four stars

Another fantastic visit to Springhill last week. We stayed on The Meadow, which now has the fantastic addition of a facilities block - toilets, showers, hairdryers & sinks (there is another main block of utilities on the site also). Great to see The Meadow has extended considerably, offering uninterrupted sea views & Bamburgh Castle in the distance. Its a short walk into Seahouses, (worth taking a torch if you're visiting in winter months as the road is unlit - Summer months it is light until 10pm) Staff are super friendly & helpful. We have never had a bad visit - we will be returning in October and cannot wait! Thankyou again for a lovely stay.

We stayed on The Meadow on a non-electric pitch and had a fantastic experience. The location is excellent — wide open fields with stunning views of Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island, and only around a 30-minute walk straight into Seahouses Harbour. The facilities were excellent and really well thought out. There was access to a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer, and plug sockets for charging devices, which was a great touch when camping. The shower and toilet facilities were modern, clean, and maintained to a high standard. The showers had plenty of hot water and good pressure too. One thing to note is that The Meadow doesn’t have fixed pitches, so it’s worth arriving early if you want to grab one of the best spots with the views. A lovely added bonus was the designated paddocks where you can pet and feed some of the animals, including rescue kune kune pigs — a really nice touch. Overall, it’s an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area and we’d highly recommend it.
