Dove Cote Lodge

We can not recommend this campsite enough it is a little slice of heaven, our sanctuary that we return to every year with our friends, it has everything you you need a fire pit, BBQ, washing up station fridge and freezer if needed…. The owners are the nicest people you could wish to meet and location wise you can get to York, Leeds or the seaside very easily for a day out if you have. Car but if you want to stay put the kids and big kids can all use the spacious site to play games etc. My only recommendation would be to have a stronger hand dryer for the toilets but we just take a hand towel with us x

This is the second year running we have been to this lovely well kept campsite, we decided to book it out exclusively this year between 3 families for 4 nights. Upon arrival the campsite and shower block were clean and tidy, the washing up station and fridge freezer all clean and tidy ( it could do with a couple more fridges or a bigger one but wasn’t a problem ) The lovely lady’s who run the site just check if you are ok and then leave you alone to enjoy your stay but will do anything for you if you ask. We are going to book for next year because we enjoyed it so much. Thanks Liz and your partner ( sorry forgot your name ) we will be in touch shorty to book again.

Well run site, tidy and well laid out. Good size pitches. Dated but clean shower and toilet facilities. Covered washing up area. Some road noise but nothing too intrusive. Great location to visit York, park and ride is a 10 minute drive.

Lovely campsite. Excellent amount toilets and showers - both kept lovely and clean. So was the pot wash area. Facilities were all spot on. Lovely flat spacious pitches. Hosts were great, even providing some ice pops for the kids because they knew it would be a hot one. So thoughtful. Secure site for kids to play safely. Shop and pub within 15 mins walking distance. Highly recommend this site.
