About The Wishing Well
The Wishing Well is a modern, purpose-built hotel on Oakney Wood Drive in Selby, designed with practicality rather than period charm in mind, and all the better for guests who just want a comfortable, functional base. Rooms are en-suite, with family and accessible options available, plus a lift for easy access between floors, and drinks can be brought to your room if you'd rather not head down to the bar.
Food is covered by an on-site restaurant and bar, with breakfast included and packed lunches available for early starts or day trips. There's a garden and outdoor seating for warmer days, free WiFi throughout, and an electric vehicle charge point alongside free on-site parking, making it a sensible choice for anyone travelling by car.
Selby Abbey is within easy reach, and the wider pull of North Yorkshire's attractions makes this a workable base for exploring the region, while pubs, restaurants and other eateries nearby mean guests aren't limited to the hotel's own kitchen. It's a hotel built for convenience rather than character, and it delivers on that front.
