I can’t recommend this campsite enough!!! I booked VERY last-minute and I visited recently in mid-July. I had the most wonderful time. Dominique was so friendly over the phone and really put me at ease. Upon arrival, Dominic met me as the little hut but don’t necessary tool much. The site is *STUNNING* and so beautifully laid out. The facilities were excellent; clean, tidy and some lovely complimentary hand washes and soaps etc.. The site itself has generously sized pitches, so you’re not intruding on anyone else’s space. In general, the site is incredibly peaceful, no noises apart from birdsong and all around an absolute delight. Without a doubt I will be returning, if I ever need some peace and quiet and relatively close to home. I loved my stay very much — thank you 😍

We've stayed at Batcombe Vale several times over the years, and it’s always a pleasure coming back. It's such a lovely spot, surrounded by nature and the perfect place to switch off completely. We also really enjoy exploring Bruton, Hauser & Wirth and pretty market towns like Glastonbury, Frome and Castle Cary. The facilities are spotless with proper hot showers and clean loos. We love the thoughtful touch of free tea and coffee with fresh milk from the local farm down the lane. The owners are always so welcoming and they clearly put a lot of care into the place. Would highly recommend if you're after a peaceful escape in Somerset - we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

This is quite the most magical place to camp. As you turn off the road at the top of a peaceful valley, you see below you a secret place, silent, remote. It feels remote but you see only to mikes from Bruton. It is a place to step off your planet. Great facilities and the whole place is lovely. Very personal attention from the delightful owners. Could not recommend more highly and I am a returning visitor.

Love love loved it here. Beautiful and quite, ideal for a get away. Located in Somerset near to the Bath and west showground and much more. The owners are friendly and welcoming, they give you a quick rundown on what's available on site, where to pitch and what's happening in the area. (they also sell their home made cider to customers, ice creams for the kids, fire pit hire and wood for keeping you warm in the evenings.) They offer large pitches with about 10 with electric and others nestled between the trees in level areas giving you both space and privacy. Fresh water taps are located around the site, clean washing up facilities, modern clean toilets and showers. There is a boating lake at the bottom of the site with free boats to row on, life jackets for kids available in reception. The owners have also kindly printed walks around the area for those who like to walk. The lakes are located further down the property and have plenty of benches for relaxing, watching the wildlife and fishing. This site is perfect for people of all ages and great for kids to run free. It is a dog friendly site (keep on leads) and perfect for campers, caravans and tents.
