What visitors say
Lovely place to go and take the kids for a play and a picnic. They can feed the animals too. The cafe also looks great. I intend to check it out on my next visit as this business deserves support.

Stayed in the campsite overnight, last minute booking. Arrived after 6 so had to ring number on booking to find out where to go as there was no signs for the campsite, hill upto the campsite was extremely hard to get up, wheel spinning and rocks flying all over (we are in a medium wheel base camper) luckily we was only staying one night as we wouldn't be willing to go up there again. Seen cars struggling. Thought it was overpriced for facilities available while we was there. Maybe if you stayed there longer you'd make use of the animals and play park which was located at the bottom of the hill (a decent walk away). Swimming lake advertised, although we did see people in there I wouldn't of been able to get in myself with how it looked currently, hot weather probably isn't helping. Nice views and quiet. Showers, toilets and washing up facilities.

We camped in their campsite by the lakes. What a gorgeous place, beautiful views, loads of birds and butterflies, a fishing lake and a bathing lake. So quiet and peaceful. They offer compost toilets, hot showers and a washing up station. Plus woodland walks, free admission to their rare breed farm. A local produce shop with some camping basics and local meat (although low in choice for meat on our visit which was a little disappointing) The cafe looked lovely but only had a few tiffin and sweet traybakes available, they didn't look stocked for customers when we visited. We were looking to have lun h here but wasnt sure if they had any food available (maybe next time). Overall it was a great weekend and we would definitely revisit and recommend to friends.

Couldn't visit the rare breeds so I can't tell you what it's like (although I have heard it is good - which is why we tried to visit). We didn't get that far as there is next to no parking and they had instructed cars to park in such a way that half the car park was already blocked in. Had we arrived first and wanted leave we would have had to wait for half the car park that arrived after us to go first! I wasn't prepared to leave my car blocking a further three vehicles from exiting as I wouldn't have been very happy myself to be trying to leave and find out I was blocked in. If there isn't room for people to park then they can't visit, it should be as simple as that. Not sure I will bother driving over again from Westbury to potentially have to turn around and go home again!
