Fantastic place with wonderful nature and spectacular views. I would recommend checking the weather forecast before going, as being on top of the cliffs in a windy and rainy weather could be dangerous. The walk is not too challenging for an active person, but there are sections with unstable and wet surface and a few hills to climb up/down. We went there with a 6 y/o who managed the entire walk very well, but as there are cliffs and the terrain is exposed, it may not be very suitable for small children unless closely supervised.

Great circular walk over boardwalk and some easy grass paths leading up to looking over to Muckle Flugga Lighthouse. At that point you are pretty much the most northerly person on UK terra firma with around 70 million others to your south, a nice thought! Well worth the adventure with loads of gannets, fulmars, puffins and skuas to keep you interested.

Amazing place. The walk from the car park to the cliff top is moderately strenuous but has a board walk to get you safely over the boggy ground. Stand back from the edge of the cliff if you dont have a head for heights as the cliffs are in the region of 150m high. Feels like the edge of the world! Great views of nesting birds.

Despite suffering a hip injury we decided to do the big walk and against the running order going straight up the hill first and anti-clockwise around the circuit. We saw/heard shipe, skylarks, gannets, black back gulls, fulmar, shag, cormorant and of course Tammie Norie. The walk is boggie in places but the boardwalk saves the vital infrastructure of the area so please stick to it if you can. We expected more Puffins but I guess bird flu has had its effect on their numbers. To think it's free, and if you want to, you can stop over, there's a toilet and so much to see and hear, it's just amazing.
