Kveldsro House Hotel

Lerwick town centre · Hotel

A quiet, non-smoking townhouse hotel in central Lerwick with modern en-suite rooms, many looking out over the water to Bressay.

About Kveldsro House Hotel

Kveldsro House takes its Norwegian name, meaning roughly evening peace, seriously: it is a calm, non-smoking hotel a short walk from Lerwick's harbour and shops, run by the same Brudolff Hotels Group that operates the Shetland Hotel and the Lerwick Hotel elsewhere in town. Many of the rooms look out across the water towards the island of Bressay, which sits just offshore from the capital.

Rooms are modern and consistently finished, with en-suite bathrooms, flat-screen televisions with a wide channel selection, hairdryers and complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits, along with bottled water and a daily newspaper. A continental breakfast is available for early departures, and free wifi and private on-site parking cover the practical side of a stay. The hotel's Drawing Room can seat up to sixteen for small meetings or private gatherings, and there is a cocktail bar for evening drinks.

The location puts the Shetland Museum, the Market Cross and Commercial Street's shops and restaurants all within easy walking distance, and the NorthLink ferry terminal is close enough to reach on foot with luggage. It suits visitors who want a central Lerwick base with a quieter, more traditional feel than the larger harbourside hotels nearby.
