Ludlow's restaurants, galleries and Saturday market are five miles away, making this a solid base if you want easy access to the market town without staying in it. The Lodge at Harvest Farm sits in open countryside, though, so you get quiet mornings and proper dark skies. Two bedrooms sleep four; one bed splits into singles if that helps with your group. Heating comes from oil central heating and a woodburner in the living room, with the fuel for the latter already in the tank when you arrive.
The kitchen has a gas hob and electric oven for actual cooking, not just reheating. Downstairs there's a sitting room with French doors onto a patio and garden, a separate toilet, and a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs, a shower room serves both bedrooms. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included; you'll need to pay for any extra electricity you use beyond what's provided. One small dog can stay for free. There's parking for two cars on site and a bike store if you're thinking of exploring the lanes around here.
The garden has a patio, a grassed area and a barbecue. A welcome pack arrives with you. No smoking inside the property, please. Children's equipment—travel cot, highchair and stairgate—is available on request.
