Rosses Point Caravan Parks

Great site, very well situated. toilet block and wash area was pristine. The guys in reception couldn't be more helpful. Just one word of warning ⚠️. If you have a tent ⛺️, roof top tent or awning on your caravan, pay extra attention to the weather. The Atlantic winds and rains are merciless. I can't wait till summer so I can return and enjoy a few days.

Camped for one night in June. The gentleman at reception was really lovely and very informative, no complaints there. However all the pitches are extremely close together and the camping pitches are separated by Railway sleepers in the ground. Unfortunately the people next to us decided that there car has priority and was partly parked over our pitch. Not the campsites fault, just lack of manners from other campers. Across the other side of other campers were a family walking the Bernese mountain dog off the lead round all the tents. They didn't care about others and let the dog do its business by our pitch (the dog had diarrhoea). Very unpleasant situation when you are cooking dinner! The people next to us emptied their entire water container to help clean it. Later that evening the family brought the dog back over and they asked them to take it elsewhere but they didn't. Again, not a campsite issue, but the people staying in the camp making it an unpleasant experience. The following morning i saw kids walking another dog that was doing its business but they didn't clean it up either. Perhaps workers could do paroles around every now and then to remind people to park correctly and keep dogs on leads etc? showers cost extra, you need a fob to go to the bathroom etc. Location is good, extremely close to the beach, however the tent pitches are right along the main road, so you hear all the cars going along. Kids playground by all the camp pitches which is great for the kids, but don't expect an early night as the screams went on till atleast 11pm. Its a shame there was so much inconsideration from other people. We are dog owners ourselves and would never behave as others have during our stay.

Got a warm welcome on arrival and good pre-arrival information. Got a tent spot, well protected from the wind by a hedge with good quality, generously sized pitch. Bathrooms immaculate with plenty of toilets and showers. €1 gets you a 5 min shower. Kitchen spotless with number of kettles, toasters, large fridge and a few electric rings. Site is right beside a gorgeous beach where you can walk for miles on the sand. Its about 1/2 mile from the town where there are 2 or 3 bars. Friends stayed in a camper van and were equally satisfied. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed here for just one night passing through. Lovely clean campsite. Toilets and showers immaculate with plenty of both there. Really nice views with a great campers kitchen also. Staff helpful and friendly and would recommend anyone to stay here
