What visitors say
A nicely kept site that’s immaculately clean. Staff very friendly and accommodating. However, as tent people, there were a few issues for us. The extractors on the toilet block are on 24-7 meaning the toilet block sounds like the back of your local takeaway during a food rush. To make matters worse the slats are pointed towards the ground meaning it is impossible to sleep in a tent within five pitches in all directions. At midnight the staff told me they can’t shut it off. In the morning, to their credit staff said we could move, however a big family tent would take a good couple of hours to move properly, so we opted for industrial-strength earplugs, so we didn’t lose more of our holiday. My advice, don’t accept a pitch anywhere near the toilet block, it’s crazy loud. The staff did say they don’t tend to get tents so haven’t had many complaints from the caravans, naturally. Although I notice on Google there's a few comments about the smell and the sound coming from the toilet block - come on Slingsby, sort it out!

The site is tired but clean. The hosts we met, mark and his wife were superb and couldnt have been more helpful. Even came to see us on the day of departure to see how our stay went and say goodbye.

A beautiful site set in a picturesque village, peaceful and tranquil, lovely walks nearby and a village pub within walking distance.The site itself is well maintained, the toilet and shower blocks are spotless. As you arrive you are met with beautiful colourful plants and hanging baskets , a beautiful touch. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble, 5 star service received from Debbie, Frankie, Clair and Mark. It is so refreshing to visit a site where the managers and wardens are passionate about their work it is clearly noticeable, I cannot wait to return . Thankyou and I hope to see you all again soon.(solo traveller)
