About Hideaway in the Hills
Tucked away near Snowdonia, Hideaway in the Hills lives up to its name with a peaceful setting that feels genuinely remote. Each pitch comes with its own fire pit and picnic table, creating a proper back-to-basics camping experience, and there's access to a small lake where you can borrow canoes for a paddle. The facilities are well-maintained with hot showers, and the friendly owners help create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
With just thirty pitches (six with electric hook-up) plus a camping pod, it never feels crowded. Fair warning: navigation can be tricky on the final approach, so allow extra time and follow directions carefully. But once you've found it, you'll appreciate the seclusion – this is a spot for unwinding by the fire rather than seeking entertainment, perfectly placed for days exploring Snowdonia's trails and valleys.

What visitors say
Can't say about the rooms as we camped, looked nice from the outside though. Stayed for 2 nights. Site is well layed out, benches plotted around the site with firepits, woodland full of bluebells, absolutely stunning surroundings. Start of seasons really, water didn't seem to heat in the showers, but was ok for us as we were up and gone for our hike. Owner is very nice and gave us great advice on where to go forthright best route for Snowdon as we had picked thr boring route, she said to use the pyg path and I'm glad we did. I imagine the site being absolutely stunning in summer. Very narrow approach, not as bad as people seem to complain about in the comments, just dont drive fast be aware there maybe on coming cars then there is no issue, Maybe practice reversing, useful skill anyway anyway. Definitely

One of my favorite campsites. Peace and quiet, you can rest. There is plenty of room for yourself. We managed to find a place next to the campsite. We had the entire area to ourselves. There is a lake nearby where you can swim. Use of the lake is included in the price. There is a warm shower and toilets on site. The road to the campsite is quite narrow, so you have to take that into account. I will come back here for sure. I recommend this place..

We booked this at the last minute and only arrived at 9:30pm. There was a warm welcome, the pod had had the light and the heating put on ready for us. It was peaceful, just the sheep and the stream. On the day we were leaving we were running late, we were told its fine there's no one booked in. We were still able to have breakfast and a brew. I have never felt so relaxed before. This is a place I would definitely recommend. Thank you for a warm welcome and a relaxing weekend.

Brilliant little campsite! We'd just walked 18 miles and were slightly late, but the hostess wasn't bothered and was very accommodating. The facilities are great, plenty of hot water and pancake flat pitches with super short grass. We didn't venture to the lake as we'd already walked enough but will definitely be back again!
