Rodney Stoke Caravan and Camping Park

Exceptional Service – Truly Above and Beyond! We recently stayed at Rodney Stoke Caravan and Camping Park, and we cannot praise the owner enough for his incredible kindness during a very chaotic trip. Our troubles started the moment we arrived when our car broke down. Without hesitation, the owner gave us a lift to a nearby supermarket so we could stock up on food while we waited for repairs. Things took another unexpected turn when a severe storm hit and completely blew our tent away. Once again, the owner came to our rescue. He took care of our ruined property and drove it to the local tip for us. Since we no longer had a tent, he incredibly generously offered us a campervan to stay in for the remainder of our trip. He was so helpful, deeply empathetic, and constantly apologising for the situation, even though absolutely none of it was his fault. Aside from the legendary hospitality, the park itself was immaculate. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the amenities are modern and spotlessly clean. We will definitely return in the future—hopefully with much better weather next time! We highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a well-maintained park run by genuinely wonderful people.

We stayed at this lovely site over the May bank holiday. It has been completely upgraded earlier this year and the facilities are clean and modern. The pitches are generous each with own hook up and water supply. The location is ideal for visiting both Wells and Cheddar. There is a bus stop just outside the site (note that the buses do not run on Sundays!). The Rodney Stoke Inn is great for a drink or good pub food in the evenings. However the best feature of this site is the live in warden, Geoff. He, and his wife, are extremely helpful and are obviously very dedicated to ensuring the site is as comfortable and efficient as it can be to ensure everyone has a very enjoyable stay. I would thoroughly recommend the site, the facilities and the location.

Lovely clean& quiet campsite, toilets & showers were immaculate, lovely little touch was freshly picked wild flowers in the loos& in the reception area. So glad the new owners have got rid of the 20 pence’s you had to use to have a shower🤩 Geoff the new manager is a lovely chap he was popping into cheddar & asked if i needed anything, also let us borrow a spare set of steps/ stool to help us into the van as we left ours at home& a hammer too🤩

This is a lovely adult only touring park that is well worth visiting. The site itself is immaculate, the views are beautiful and it's in a fantastic location. The manager was super friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. We were even told what way the sun faced throughout the day so we could choose a pitch in the shade. It's those little touches that really make the service stand out as excellent. Highly recommended and we will definitely visit again.
