Mill Batch Cottage
Somerset

Mill Batch Cottage began as an 18th-century cattle barn, converted to a dwelling in 1819—the date and initials still carved into the structure. Now restored with modern comforts, it keeps the low beamed ceilings and original fireplace, fitted with a wood burner. The cottage sleeps five across three bedrooms: a double, two singles, and another single. There is one bathroom with a shower cubicle.
The ground floor holds the living and dining space, kitchen with electric cooker and dishwasher, utility room with washing machine, and a separate toilet. Upstairs are the bedrooms and shower room. An enclosed garden with patio and furniture sits to the rear. The essentials—bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating—are provided. Parking for two cars is on site. One dog can stay at no extra cost.
The property sits on the edge of Mark village in the Somerset Levels, a low-lying landscape of ditches, grazing sheep and old apple orchards. The surrounding area draws birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts. No smoking inside.

Great location for a quite few days away. Only small issue we had was no mobile signal and the WiFi was poor so struggled to connect.
