The Somerset Levels offer gentle countryside exploring, and Long Barn sits within reach of Thorney Lakes and the market town of Langport itself. This single-bedroom cottage sleeps four on a ground floor arranged around an open-plan living and dining space, with a kitchen fitted for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher, the basics that matter. The bedroom has a zip-and-link bed that can be configured as either a double or two singles; there is one bathroom with bath and shower over.
The whole property is yours alone. Parking for two cars sits on site, and an enclosed garden with patio gives privacy. One well-behaved pet stays free. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. No smoking is permitted indoors. The cottage works for couples, families with young children (travel cot and highchair available on request), or friends looking for a base to explore the wetlands and rural walks that define this corner of Somerset.

Great rural location. Great beds. Converted outbuildings with character. Outdoor chairs & tables in small courtyard - beautiful scented honeysuckle & roses. Parking. Very well equipped holiday let. Friendly host. Meadow mowed for dog walking. Can walk out to farmer's field & fishing lake. Info / games room. Fox in meadow, green woodpeckers nesting.

Cannot recommend The Tack Room highly enough. What a wonderful little cottage, providing the perfect getaway for myself, my husband and our little dog Rudy. Plenty of places to explore without having to travel too far. There are some fantastic dog friendly pubs in the area, serving lovely food. John and Caroline are a lovely couple and are super hospitable, nothing was too much trouble. We would not hesitate at recommending these beautiful, well equipped cottages. Absolutely 5⭐️

Brilliant place to stay, Caroline and John were exceptionally welcoming. The accommodation is second to none, so much so that Jan and myself could have made it our home. The area has so much to do that you are spoilt, good places to eat and drink in the area. The dogs were made very welcome and they loved the paddock area for their runs. Thanks again Caroline and John 👍👍👍
