What visitors say

This is a busy popular place but it had everything: good parking, a bar, a restaurant and a very nice quiet room. The room was clean, good tv selections, and a shower. The restaurant had a nice dinner menu. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly --even the drunk customer who greeted us on arrival. :) We were very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful and tasty continental breakfast.

Booked in on the campsite overnight. Facilties are clean but basic,no complaints. On the night we visited the pub was packed, staff were busy to say the least but we still got a warm welcome and they offer a great selection of beers and ciders so far so good. Then came the food; we both ordered burgers which came with brioche toasted buns, unfortunately they'd been so well toasted they solid and the burgers inside them were little better, my wife ordered a side salad which never actually arrived so it was all a bit of a let down however dessert was superb, fresh, tasty and well presented. So definitely worth a visit just don't order the burger!,

This pub is lovely! We were sat round the corner of the bar in a very cosy seating area. It has a good choice of wine and beer! The service was impeccable. I had duck for my main and it was cooked beautifully. I would highly recommend!

Overnight motorhome stop... One of our favs down this way.. Adults only, good location for visiting Somerset tourist attractions, nice cycling routes from the campsite... Somerton, Castle cary etc.. Quiet site, train line not far away, trains were few and far between.. Afternoon tea available 12noon until 5pm, good facilities, local amenities available in garage around the corner £12.50 per adult a night. Would recommend.
