Ardlochan Road

Ardlochan Road is a ground-floor cottage in the coastal village of Maidens, positioned yards from a sandy beach with views across to the Isle of Arran. The layout keeps everything on one level: a living room with a 32-inch Smart TV, an open-plan kitchen and dining space, two bedrooms with en-suite and wet room, and a large enclosed garden with patio and BBQ. One bedroom has a zip-and-link super king bed (divisible into singles on request), the other a double; there are two bathrooms between them.

The kitchen comes fully equipped for cooking, including electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; logs for the wood burner are provided to get you started. Cot and highchair are available if needed. Parking is on site for one car, and there is bike storage. The property is non-smoking and welcomes one pet free of charge.

From here, a beach walk leads up into Culzean Castle's woodland trails. Girvan town centre, with shops and leisure facilities, is a five-minute drive. The Galloway Forest Park—Britain's largest, with moorland, ancient woodland and red deer—lies inland and holds Dark Sky Park status, drawing stargazers when conditions allow. Burns Country heritage sites and the Scottish Dark Observatory are within reach, and ferries to Ailsa Craig and beyond operate from nearby ports.
