Origin Coffee Southwark

A consistently brilliant specialty coffee experience. Origin never disappoints, no matter which branch you visit. I ordered a flat white, which was smooth, well-balanced, and had that perfect velvety microfoam that makes a great flat white stand out. Paired it with the hazelnut croissant: the nutty flavour complemented the coffee beautifully, though I’d love to see a slightly richer, more buttery and pillowy texture from the pastry itself. Visited on a bank holiday Sunday afternoon, so expectedly busy, but the space holds up well. Airy, bright, and thoughtfully designed, it has a calm ambience that makes it easy to settle in despite the footfall. A go-to spot for quality coffee in the city. ☕

Origin Coffee is my neighbourhood coffee shop, but I would travel far to come here, even if it weren’t. This incredible brand is very well known in the UK as one of the finest purveyors of coffee in the country. Follow their social media pages and you’ll soon understand the ethos, passion and love that these people have for everything coffee. The staff at the Scorseby Street Cafe are simply magnificent. Super knowledgeable and incredibly well trained, but also such beautiful humans. I feel like I’m visiting family and am always made to feel so welcome. They will offer you the latest single origin on offer and it’s always a symphony of flavour. Whether you’re a serious coffee disciple, like me, or you’re fussy enough to escape the terrible franchise rubbish out there, Origin is where you’re at!

I am not saying this lightly when I say this was the best coffee cup I’ve ever had. The staff (especially, Sasha) were incredibly sweet and kind. 100% recommend stopping by for a delicious drink ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The baristas are friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable on coffee. You can be directed to the cup of your tastes, and the pastries are pretty good since they’ve changed (really love the lemon and poppy seed pastry!). Been here a few times now, so this review comes after a good couple of visits. Atmosphere of this place is lovely- it’s good for bringing friends, studying, etc. It’s a good mix, honestly- and free wifi.
