Worst restaurant experience I've had. Wish I had read reviews before going. The vegetable korma had split and seemed to consist of last nights chips and frozen vegetables, couldn't eat it and had to send it back. My husband's vegetable bhuna was excessively oily. I'm not suprised that previous reviewers have been sick afterwards. The food was not the worst part. The service from the manager was beyond the pale. He seemed personally offended when I returned my main. When we questioned the bill, which had been added up incorrectly and included a service charge which was in no way deserved, he became incredibly rude and when my husband asked if he was the manager said /yes, bad luck for you/. I don't get angry easily, but his attitude had me on the verge of leaving without paying (having read reviews here, I'm very glad we didn't as we might have risked a beating). My husband had such a terrible experience he left more than half of his beer - which I've not seen him do before. Please don't go here.

Went there on Friday 31.08.2012 night, we were enticed into the restaurant with the Bring Your Own Bottle (BYOB) promotion. We were told we would get a £10 meal deal, which included starters, main, rice and naan. Most people in the group ordered lamb kebabs for the starters, they were as thin as a giant crayola crayon and was very cold. The mains were terrible my friend received 3 pieces of chicken in her curry , the rice was cold and the naan was chewy. When we left we refused to pay service charge as most people refused to pay £10 for that meal. The workers were very rude when we told them we were not going to pay service charge and began aggressively ushering us out of the restaurant. The told us to take out alcohol without even though It was empty and began throwing the empty cans at us on the table signalling us to take it. This was in front of other customers which I thought was very unprofessional, they could have at least asked us to step outside so we could speak properly without disturbing other diners.

The place looked really nice and we were tempted by the £12 deal (starter, main, rice, naan and a small beer). The service was really good and the food was lovely. . . . .so we thought!!! Unfortunately the experience today hasn't been anywhere near as pleasant . . . . . if you would like to keep your stomach in one piece avoid this place!!

Booked a tabe for 10. Had a great experience at chillies. The chicken lemon grass and lamb bhuna was extremely satisfying perfect for value. The food is by far the best we have had on Brick Lane and no other curry house has come close to providing the same high standard of food and service that we have experienced here. The food is well priced, comes in a good time and the atmosphere is pleasant. I would highly recommend Chillis to anyone and strongly urge you to go as it is far superior to its competitors.
