About Wildcamp North Wales

Wildcamp North Wales sits just outside St Asaph in Denbighshire, offering straightforward non-electric grass pitches for tents and trailer tents. It's a no-frills spot that makes a handy base if you're touring the region — think exploring the cathedral city of St Asaph itself, or venturing further afield to the castles and coastline of North Wales.

Note that dogs aren't allowed here, so it's one to skip if you're travelling with four-legged friends. But if you're after somewhere simple and well-placed for exploring Denbighshire without the bells and whistles, this ticks the box.

This is a fantastic campsite, whether you want a quiet break, or a family holiday full of adventure! We came with an 8 year old and we had such a great time collecting wood for the fire and playing in the river. There’s so much wildlife too! 🦅🐿️ Local amenities are an easy 20-30min walk away, but the site itself feels like the middle of nowhere🌲 The hosts are really welcoming and friendly, and the site is well maintained. The compost loo is great and the basic facilities are all you need. We’ve only been home an hour and already booked to go back 😂

Great experience. Campsite has a really interesting layout your with plenty of secluded pitches. Shallow stream running through the centre, shallow enough to dip in and walk through. Excellent introduction for my daughter into wild-ish camping. Recommend.
