Staffin Campsite

Campsite on Skye near Staffin with tent, caravan and motorhome pitches; showers on site.

About Staffin Campsite

Staffin Campsite is a small operation on the Isle of Skye, taking tents, caravans and motorhomes. The site has showers as its main facility. With limited pitch numbers, it tends toward the quieter end of the scale rather than the large, busy parks found elsewhere.

The proximity to Staffin village means basic supplies and services are within reach, though this is remote Hebridean terrain with all that implies for access and weather. Given its modest size, the site suits those looking for a smaller, less crowded base on Skye rather than somewhere with extensive on-site amenities.

People say this campsite offers well-maintained pitches, clean facilities, and delicious on-site food for breakfast and dinner. They also highlight the hot, powerful showers and the convenient walking path to the beach. Guests mention the staff are very friendly, helpful, and provide excellent service.

An odd review I know. The hosts were brilliant and very helpful. We arrived our tent snapped and leaked everywhere. It's Sunday no shops open or nearby but the hosts gave us 2 small tents to help us. One pole snapped and the other was holding on for dear life 😂 we had driven 5 and a half hours but decided we had to head home. The campsite was in a great location for dinosaur footprints etc and the facilities were good alongside great hosts. It was also very reasonable priced. We will definitely be back, thank you hosts for what you did and tried to do we appreciate it.

A lovely site over looking the sea, toilet and shower block are not the best, 1 pound charged for 3 minutes in the shower. You've got to go some to get yourself washed and rinsed off in 3 minutes. 😧

Easiest 5 star review ever given! Perfect grass pitch and a wonderful location. Very easy to reach the well known hikes such as Storr and Quiraing. The facilities were okay, not the best, but definitely not the worse. What made this stay 5 star worthy was the staff (Bear and Mel in particular). As two un-experienced campers we decided to call Staffin to see if we could check in two nights prior to our booking, this due to very bad weather in the south where we were supposed to check-in. They squeezed us in and helped us to check if our tent was properly pitched. Then when I had nasty fall on the pebbles, Bear and Mel provided perfect help and kept checking in how I felt the next few days. Thanks again for this and the nice talks! Definitely worth coming back some day :)
