What visitors say
Completely recommend!! No stupid rules, kids were allowed to be kids, everyone was sharing their outdoor toys. Took me back to camping when I was a child having fun until a bit later. A lot of camp sites have really strict rules, but this camp site is very safe, clean and you’re allowed to have fun. It was nice to stay up and have a laugh whilst our kids were asleep without feeling like we’d be in trouble. We rented a campfire and bought logs for £5 which was reasonable. The owners are so lovely. I was very surprised to walk into camping toilets and see them pristine, not any bugs at all. There’s a lovely walk behind the campsite too, our kids had lots of fun hearing the crickets and finding acorns and butterflies. Only thing that could be an “improvement” if I really reach hard enough is there could be signage to say if the tap next to the sinks was drinkable or not. But like I say, that’s an absolute reach😆 We are definitely going to be returning again. Only half an hour from home but feels like a break.

Lovely basic campsite. Nice flat square field with a toilet block and sink in the middle. We had a good time, owner was friendly too. The only comment I would say and the reason it wasn’t 5* - the grass was slightly long, which didn’t affect our camping area, just when I walked to the toilet block - all my shoes and socks where soaking wet. Just a minor thing though 😊 Plan on returning next weekend. Thank you for a lovely experience!

Happy Valley is a beautiful, simple camping site (for tents) with cold water sinks, washing up facilities and toilets but no showers, 20-30 minutes walk or a very short drive from Hazel Grove station and the major roads with bus routes in and out of Stockport between Manchester and Buxton. The staff are extremely friendly and supportive and the vibe is chilled and calm with flexible arrival and departure times.

This is a non EHU campsite which offers toilets and a washing up facility . Plus fresh water The grass was quite long but nothing we couldn't cope with .We really enjoyed the day that we could pitch up where we liked and arrive and leave at any time .The weather was good on Saturday and the views were excellent. Ideal for couples families and dogs Plenty to do around the Happy valley campsite area .
