About Hellie Pods
Helen did most of the handiwork herself when she set up these camping pods on her family's working beef and arable farm near Halesworth in 2023 – hence the name Hellie Pods. The site occupies a quiet, fenced-off corner of the farm (horses graze next door, so still keep an eye on little ones and lively dogs), and it's powered entirely by solar energy, meaning you can charge phones but not run kettles or hairdryers.
Each sturdy pod sleeps up to four on a double bunk and two singles below – you'll need to bring your own bedding. There's a charcoal barbecue and firepit per pod (wood and firelighters provided), plus access to a shared kitchen pod with fridge and washing-up facilities (bring your own camping stove). Dogs are welcome year-round, with plenty of local walks and the option to hire the family's secure dog field at nearby Sotherton Dog Meadow. The setup can feel fairly basic if you're used to more glamping comforts, but it's a peaceful, eco-minded base for exploring the Suffolk countryside.

What visitors say
Incredible glamping site, stunning setting and very well equipped! Lynne and Ian were fantastic hosts and very informative. A bonus was seeing the owls and hares on the field at dusk. We will definitely return!

Sooo well equipped, literally everything you need is ther and also everything you would never think you would need is also there. Extremely comfortable beds. It's almost akin to a luxury hotel in wilderness. We saw wild rabbits and a small deer. Great getaway with kids without the worries of supplies/facilities and all the fun. Very friendly hosts. Showers are supposed to be hot (although ours wasn't quite and we didn't realise it should've been hotter than it was), very clean bathrooms.

Just back from a relaxing stay at Hidden Meadows - we would definitely recommend. The kids loved having hens next to our tent, and collecting eggs was a real treat. Lynne, our host, clearly works very hard to ensure that guests have everything they need to make their stay enjoyable. The location is peaceful and beautiful. The beautiful log burner was amazing at warming up the tent first thing in the morning and in the evenings, so despite the cold weather we were warm and cozy! i am sure, you will not be disappointed.

We hired out the whole site for a hen do and it could not have been more ideal. The setting was wonderful, tents really well-equipped and beds super comfy. Having the party tent was great too, for some communal space. Lynne and Ian were excellent hosts, very welcoming and on hand instantly if we needed anything.
