Tattenhall makes a relaxed, well-connected base for exploring the Cheshire countryside without the crowds of Chester itself. Hotel options directly in the village are limited, in keeping with its small size, but nearby Peckforton Castle offers one of the region's most distinctive stays — a Victorian mock-medieval castle set in private woodland, complete with a spa and views over the Peckforton Hills.
