About The Sleeping Shepherd
If this is what real-life shepherding is like, then it'd be a miracle if you got to the end of your hols without jacking it all in and signing up for a crash course in sheep keeping. The Sleeping Shepherd lifestyle involves roaming around a particularly pretty part of Pembrokeshire, chilling out on your private deck sipping wine with sea views over Manorbier Bay towards St Govan's Head, and cosying up in a comfy handcrafted hut for peaceful slumbers.
This tiny, adults-only glamping site sits 15 minutes' stroll from the coastal village of Manorbier, where there's a small supermarket, pub and tearoom. Folk travelling without a car can get here easily from the station 20 minutes away, then continue exploring by bus or via the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, accessed by direct footpath from site. Walks to stunning beaches like Barafundle Bay come highly recommended, though perhaps even more so are lengthy periods hanging out on your deck. Each hut has kettle, toaster, hob and fridge, so you can create breakfast (or chill the wine) whilst gazing at those spectacular coastal views.

What visitors say
A beautiful, peaceful campsite with great showers and private compostable toilets that were surprisingly good! Fantastic location in the Preselis, with lovely views and easy access to the village. Huge pitches with plenty of room. Steve was incredibly helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend.

great campsite, spacious pitches, each with their own composting toilets which are well designed and work, (no smell!). Large grassy area in the middle for football etc. Showers are hot and there are plenty of them for the size of site. Added bonus of two sinks with really hot water for washing up. Steve was very helpful, put an extra guy rope on my tent when the wind got up and I was out. He even let me recharge my electric car on site. Weather wasn't brilliant but they can't be blamed for that! The village cafe and Carla's meat were great for food, and the recommendation of Pembroke castle for a day out with kids was definitely worth it, highly entertaining and informative free guided tour which kept my grandchildrens' attention throughout.

We stayed at Brynhaul for 4 nights for the Whitsun bank holiday & will definitely be returning. The pitches are a generous size with picnic benches and fire pits provided. The campsite it sustainable and minimalistic but very clean and everything you need. There are no cars allowed on the campsite so perfect if you have children or dogs. Steve is friendly and very knowledgeable of the local area. Lovely stay.
