About Powdermill Touring Caravan & Camping Park
Powdermill spreads across twenty-eight acres of woodland and meadow just outside Battle, trading on a secluded, informal feel that sets it apart from more regimented touring parks. Pitches nestle in quiet glades rather than uniform rows, and several coarse fishing lakes give the site genuine appeal beyond a simple overnight stop—many regulars return specifically for the angling. The park welcomes tents, touring caravans and motorhomes, with electric hook-ups on most pitches and a handful of glamping pods for those without their own kit.
Facilities are modern and well maintained, though some visitors note the site can feel a touch tired in places during busier periods. A small shop covers essentials, free Wi-Fi reaches main areas, and there's a playground for younger guests. Dogs are welcome across most of the park.
Battle's abbey and 1066 battlefield sit five minutes away, Hastings and the seafront a little further. Bodiam Castle, the Kent & East Sussex Railway, and Chapel Down vineyard are all within comfortable reach, making Powdermill a solid base for exploring both Sussex's coast and Kent's Wealden countryside.

What visitors say
The owners of the site are so accommodating, friendly & welcoming! The facilities are well kept, clean & fit for purpose. The views are stunning, as are the animals around the farm. Our visit was for business but being here meant we could enjoy rest time too & we couldn't have been more looked after! I would highly recommend Fontmills Farm Campsite to any of my friends and family as it almost feels therapeutic. Thank you so much Steve & Nicola x

Just amazing. Quiet, spacious, friendly, with great, clean facilities... what more could you ask for? Fire pits and everything you need to build a proper campfire are provided at a very reasonable cost. It couldn't be easier. The cherry on top was an ad hoc tour of the ponies and stables for my daughter, which made our weekend even more memorable. We'll definitely be back!

We have just come back from an incredible couple of nights st Fontmills. Nicola and Steve are amazing hosts and the grounds are so well kept ❤️ The facilities were always clean and great use to have firepits ready to use. We will absolutely be back, and are already planning our next trip!

Really well thought out and run camp site. We took the glamping option with our young family. The 5m bell tent was spacious, immaculate and perfect for our family of 4. Location was great, right next to the cuckoo trail railway line for flat walks or rides out on a paved surface into the surrounding countryside, where we saw lots of wildlife! Also not far to the coast either.
