We stayed in a Chalet which were really well made and lovely. The Mature foliage offered privacy and a bit of welcome shade. This looked to be the same for the campsite.. It was a very hot day but the chalets were very well insulated, so the rooms were cool, and the double glazing stoped any road noise. Breakfast had gluten free and vegan options. Fantastic location for visiting Westenburt. Some friendly staff but a very minor cleaning and maintenance issue I'm sure they will sort. They were busy doing ground renovations which didn't disturb us but took away from the aesthetic they were trying to create. We had a lovely stay and will return. Getting onto and off the site from a fast road was a little tricky. Campsite stone paths not wheel friendly.

I was looking for somewhere near Highgrove House and happened to come across The Holford Arms on Travelzoo. All the internal rooms were booked, so we were offered a chalet at a little extra cost. Similar to other reviews that I had read, it doesn't look much from the outside however the inside of this 16th century pub was lovely. We received a warm welcome and given precise directions to our chalet. At the rear if the pub, the owners are creating something quite special, very good sized and well equipped chalets. Gas heating and a modern bathroom with some outside chairs and a table to enjoy the afternoon sun. A number of bell tents and areas for campers and motorhomes. They also do weddings! On top of all that, all the staff were lovely and the food was amazing. It was so good the first night that we decided to eat there on the second night also. Great choice for breakfast with quality products. A very enjoyable two night stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. First impression is not great (they have applied for planning permission to smarten it up) but inside it is a warm and welcoming place to stay. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Rooms were newly decorated and more than adequate. Stayed 2 nights and didn't bother to go anywhere else to eat. The food was good and very reasonably priced. Would stay there again if we went back to this part of the Cotswolds.

We ate here 2 nights in a row as we were staying at the campsite, cannot fault the campsite but the pub did have its pitfalls. It was lovely inside and the staff were friendly however we had kitchen issues on both nights. We were a group of four and on the first night 3 of us got the wrong meal entirely. They were gracious enough to not charge which was appreciated. On the second night our food got taken to the wrong table, so had to be remade. Although friendly some staff felt quite flustered. The food was decent enough and arrived hot, the scotch egg was great! And the drinks selection was strong so enjoying a drink there was lovely! Its a shame the order issues happened on both nights as it gave us a sightly less enthusiastic opinion of what could have been 2 lovely meals at the pub
