What visitors say
I was welcomed to Peacocks Farm Campsite by Paul the owner, and was fortunate to learn more about it and Paul’s ethos. Taking care of nature and being sustainable are high on the list of priorities along with ensuring guests have a great experience. The place is the perfect mix of wild and natural with facilities that provide comfort. i.e. A ladies and gents toilet, real flushing toilets kept very well, and two lovely outdoor showers. There are many pitches to choose from - private and secluded amongst the trees and bushes, or more open areas. You can drive to the pitches if you want your car close by. It really feels like you have left the busy outside world behind at Peacocks Farm. I heard so many different birds tweeting with the dawn chorus. There is a lovely pub a short walk away through the fields. I was down for two nights so I could do a South Downs hike. For my second night I decided to eat out. Huge thanks to Doug for his recommendation to go to The Windmill - lovely place and an amazing meal! Peacocks Farm Campsite is equally perfect for a solo camper as for family camping. There were several families with young kids there and have no a great time. Highly recommended. I will be back for sure with my family. Thank you, James.

Wild and wonderful! A beautiful peaceful place, with morning chorus bird song, red kites crying out across the skies, roe deer darting about and sooo, soo much more. Paul - the owner has created something special and I can’t wait to return. 2 spotless loos, 2 super clean showers and 1 washing up sink absolutely perfect !!!🙌🏻🙌🏻 If you think you need more, then this is not the place for you. There is a very slight hum of very distant traffic and an occasional distant plane but nothing to take away the peace and tranquillity. The dark skies are full of STARS - Bring a reclining chair, sit back and drink it all in.

A lovely campsite that feels like you are proper wild camping and almost completely secluded from the outside world, until you hear planes from Gatwick in the distance (not that I'm complaining)! Genuinely lovely area with a real wild camping feel to it as the pitches are scattered through out the site and secluded from one another.. we had a lovely time spending a few days here. We were a bit lost when we arived, as nobody greets you or tells you where to go.. So when you arrive you just drive around and find a spot that looks nice and set up for your stay.. There are facilities which are actually quite good. But the place could maybe do with one or 2 more loos and dish sinks. As queuing in the morning was a little frustrating. But for the most part it is all perfectly fine and more than enough. There are firepits with barbecue grills available and wood for sale on site. The birds are incredible. When you're sat down relaxing most of what you can hear are the birds happily chirping away. Unfortunately on our last night there was a very loud group in the pitch next to ours, blairing music, adults shouting, kids screaming and generally just not being considerate until late and starting again very early. Which is not the fault of the campsite at all - but some signage or something may be nice to emphasise the quiet camping nature of the area and the rules that were set out in the booking confirmation email, as the rules didn't seem to matter. But aside from that, this really is a lovely site. The location is great and it feels so nice to just be able to feel like you're in nature and largely detached from the outside world!

This campsite is exceptionally well-kept, with pristine grounds and spotless facilities. What makes it unique is that every tent site is completely secluded, offering excellent privacy and a quiet atmosphere. The surroundings are beautiful, and the birds songs are very pretty. A highly relaxed environment. Highly recommended.
