What visitors say
Forget the previous bad reviews about this Campsite. The lady everyone complained about has gone, though there was a common theme of late arrivals leaving such bad reviews. It's made clear "be there before 8pm". Relaxed atmosphere. Pitches now have chest height bushes between them so are more private. But who wants to be penned in anyway. Campervans were pitched both central and to one side, so the rules seem more relaxed than before. Yes, you need a pair of flip flops or alternative clean shoes to use the facilities block. But the facilities are spotless and provide the best quality toilet ever! No mobile reception at the Cafe, which has wifi, but excellent reception EE & O2 out on the pitches as well as excellent TV signal. Cafe looked very nice, as did the food being served, but unfortunately we didn't have time to use on our 3-night stay. 10 minute walk to Totland for nearest bus-stop. and a further 5 minute walk to Totland bay. With a 5-day Bus pass you can be anywhere on the Island in 90 minutes. No hesitation in recommending this site.

Beautiful location, beautiful facilities. Great pub across the road too. The reason for 2 stars is they charged us £21 each for 2 tiny pitches. Like I say the facilities are beautiful but the showers whilst pristine have appalling shower heads and we couldn’t change the temperature. We would be reluctant to go back feeling we have been taken advantage of over the pricing they have adopted.

We had an ok stay mix up at the beginning . Toilets ok showers quite a bit of mould in the grout. The lady in the shop very nice on arrival. The young man not so made us feel uncomfortable. The gardening was done right next to our awning we had to tell the young man it was flicking though on our awning and no one stayed on there all week common sense really . Would we go back NO I think that young man needs training in customer service

We were not staying at the campsite, but dropped in for breakfast after a reccomendation by a friend. Venue was excellent, very clean and comfortable, service and food was excellent. Friendly staff, good coffee too, Well worth a visit. Probably one of my favourite breakfast stops now. 👍🏼😃
