A very nice, peaceful site, a little off the beaten track, set in very pleasant countryside surroundings with some excellent local rural walks. The facilities on site are clean and very good. This includes a laundry room. A shop is less than 5 minutes drive and the pub across the road offers a very good menu of traditional pub dishes, plus roasts are available on Sundays and Wednesday, at very competitive prices. There's plenty of locations to visit, including Truro, Newquay and Perranporth, all within a 10 mile distance.

Location was great, great base close to the A30 and easily shootable to Newquay, Perranporth, st Ives and Truro. Also close to Healey’s cyder farm which is a great choice for an afternoon. The site itself was peaceful. Felt immediately welcomed into the micro community - wardens J&D who were there couldn’t have been better! Showers hot - entire block although slightly dated always very clean and had everything you need. (I’m usually very fussy and cautious over booking if I can’t see what toilets/showers are like - had no concerns!)

We had the dreamiest stay at this magical little campsite! A warm greeting from the owner.. Our cosy hobbit hut overlooked a field with 2 white horses—The site has such a lovely, peaceful vibe, with friendly chickens roaming about, and the hot showers were a real treat after a day at the beach. We will definitely come back.

After we missed our flight to Milan, two of my besties and I were desperately looking to salvage our girls weekend. We ended up in Cornwall with no where to stay, and after some google searches found the Rose Pod at Summer Valley. I can honestly say we couldn’t have got luckier! Chris, the owner, was so kind and welcoming. Responded quickly, has everything ready for our impromptu arrival and answered all our local questions! The hut was gorgeous, tons of space, I don’t think we’ll ever want to stay in a tent again! Despite it being cold at night the hut was warm, and there was a plug in heater if it got too cold. The beds were super comfortable, and we loved the view of the ponies. Thank you for saving our trip with the lovely stay! We will absolutely be back.
