Cineworld Wakefield

A great cinema with good air conditioning in the screen that we were in (it was a very hot day when we came!). The staff that checked our tickets were friendly and the ticket machine that we used did work. Good sound quality and comfy seats in each of the screens. Will definitely be watching a film here again!

What a shame, booked tickets the day before for a 1.30pm showing, as we’d travelled from another town we needed to set off 3/4 of an hour early. Arrived to be told the screening had been cancelled and that I should have got an email. Checked my emails, they’d sent it at 1.10pm! How is that good enough and fair warning?! Appalled. Now have to wait 5 working days for a refund! Won’t be returning to Cineworld any time soon.

Very comfy seats and loads of leg space on top floor. You don't have to move an inch if someone wants to get past. Excellent

Went a couple weeks ago to watch the new Michael movie, there were about 30 of us in the room, half of which were teenagers, three groups: two groups of boys and one group of girls. The group of girls was fine, the other two behaved horrendously. They were shouting, giggling, on their phone, putting the flash on (I think to film each other?), throwing food at each other which some of it landed on us, etc. We ended up complaining to staff outside but all that was done was one lady came in and told one of the two groups “hi boys can you come outside for a second please just want to have a chat” with a sweet voice like talking to toddlers. They were gone for a minute then came back, behaved for all of five minutes then started again. Ridiculous. After the film, we stopped by the toilets before leaving, and my partner got harassed in the toilet by a group of older teenagers (like 16/17 maybe 18) who banged on the door of the cubicle repeatedly yelling “GET YOUR DICK OUT”. Idc if it makes me sound like a boomer, this is a completely valid crashout, kids keep getting away with stuff like this and the public space does not feel safe anymore. Will not be coming back to this cinema simply because there is no way I’m putting myself through this again. I understand staff only applied policy but the current policy is just not enough anymore. Change your policy, be stricter, don’t give people second chances. I know I won’t be giving this place a second chance
