About Ebborways Farm

Let your troubles ebb away at Ebborways Farm near Wells, in the scenic heart of Somerset. Perfect for those in pursuit of an authentic camping experience, simplicity is the key here: it’s just you, a field – and a campfire if you like – in sumptuous, serene surroundings. Facilities are limited to a water supply and composting loos, and you can pitch wherever you like, alone or in groups.

However, you’re not too far from a bit of civilisation: it’s a short walk to a handful of pubs – including a couple that do top-notch food – and a farm shop, in the local village of Priddy (and pretty it is, too).

Fire packs (matches, firelighters, kindling and logs), as well as nets of logs, are available to buy on arrival.

Please note that phone signal is very limited here, so you may wish to use the internet for research before you arrive.

First experience of camping, really enjoyed the site - had very good neighbours and could park up by the pitch which was perfect. Extremely well priced and just a short walk to the Queen Victoria public house, also had lovely sunsets on Deers Leap just down the road again walking distance. Facilities basic with standpipes and composting loos but great as a stop off for a couple of nights,

Good price, good site, went camping two nights. You get used to the toilets, no shower. Firepits all around which you can move, cute little book library in a shed. Not too far from a town but far enough you feel secluded. Nice views. Staff were nice. Drinking water taps around too. One on site big bin. Would recommend if you want a chill, comfortable but more wild style of camping.

Used the campsite with our motorhome. Friendly and helpful check in at the farm house and on site. Very basic facilities such as fresh water, composting toilets and chemical disposal. Such a relaxed attitude by the owners. Pitch wherever, BBQs, fire pits and even open fires all allowed. Sensible music rules. No harsh arrival or departure times. Short walk to a pub. Close by attractions such as Wookie Hole and Cheddar Gorge, Wells etc.

Proper back to basics camping, if you want to get away and switch off this place is great. It’s almost wild camping with toilets although they are compost ones but that’s not really an issue. Right on top of the Mendips with good walks and stunning scenery close by.
