About Long River Farm Camping

Long River Farm Camping is a farmstay in rural Wiltshire near Westbury, set within working farmland on the edge of the Blackdown Hills. The landscape here rolls between open fields and woodland, with the chalk escarpment visible to the north. Pitches spread across the farm for tents and motorhomes, alongside glamping accommodation, with showers on site.

At £25 a night, the appeal is straightforward: a countryside base that keeps you close to the rhythms of the farm itself. The location sits well for walking access to the Wiltshire downs and the market town of Westbury, which has shops, pubs and a railway station for onward travel.

Called in for coffee and cake on a circular walk. The cake was nice although not much choice but that's understandable as it was quiet. The coffee however was truly awful. It tasted like the cheapest supermarket coffee available and was undrinkable. It's the first coffee in years I have actually left. The hot chocolate wasn't much better. There is no excuse for this in a cafe. If you are planning a stop don't stop here for your coffee.

Ideal location for longleat safari park - we also took day trips to stone henge and Wookey hole from this location. Nice walk into Westbury for a bevy at the market tavern (kid friendly) and be sure to visit the white horse carving. We stayed for 4 nights and had a lovely time. Showers and toilets were really clean and there’s also a day room where we were able to get some shade from the insane heat. Staff were super friendly and helpful. A beautiful location surrounded by horses and a gorgeous smaller enclosure with alpaca, goats and a miniature pony which the kids were able to pet. Pretty sure one of the goats has been renamed Ronaldo! You can park your car right next to the tent so you don’t have to carry anything heavy anywhere. Loads of space. You can hire fire pits which we did and had a great time with marshmallows. Cafe is there if needed for food and coffees etc. It was lovely watching the horses jumping and exercising in the morning and star gazing at night. Just a really special place.

I can’t recommend this fabulous stables & farm enough. The location is wonderful with views of the rolling Wiltshire Countryside & the natural laid back nature is super impressive. From horses, foals, Llama’s, chicken, cats & dogs is a wonderful place to be amongst. The owners & team are super welcoming & the cafe, indoor & outside schools facilities & hacking routes are perfect. Clamping is also offered with excellent shower facilities. Super impressive.

We’ve been going to this beautiful farm for the past 4 years and every time we have an amazing time, we enjoy the amazing view, the safari tents, fantastic facilities and everything so well maintained and clean, staff is super helpful and kind,we love to buy their fresh eggs too so tasty. My daughter 17 years old said that she really enjoyed the horse riding and that horses was so beautiful. Location is also great for a nice walk to the white horse. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend this place. 🫶👌
