My wife and I along with our dog spent 3 nights on site here over the August bank holiday weekend, it's a mixture of mostly mobile homes and various pitches for tents, campers and caravans. There is a lovely sense of community amongst the people that reside on site in the summer, as we were just touring it was lovely to be invited to the Saturday night bingo and the Sunday bbq. Everyone was so friendly Would highly recommend visiting this caravan park The signal for mobile coverage in the area is poor but to me that was a good thing to detox from technology for a couple of days, weak enough wifi available on site as well at no extra cost

Can't comment on rooms or services but the location is great. Was heading home from an occasion and decided to detour. We noticed a lot of a people about. Out walking and exploring the area. There appears to be a beautiful caravan park and l have to say we will be back and hopefully be able to book a caravan. A very peaceful place and the lake was beautiful. We noticed a beautiful family of swans. Appears to be very child friendly as we noticed a lot of kiddies about. We did drive into the park but noticed a barrier on entry, so presumably that was security for residents. The weather was beautiful which added to our experience.

We are after finishing our visit in Lough Ennell Caravan Park. We spent a week in this place and I can recommend this place for others with a clear conscience. Opinions are very mixed about this place and I understand both sides after spending a week here, but I think the place has huge potential. Most important, I think site is very safe for families with children. There is nice playground, maybe a bit old, but still all attractions in good order and I seen that kids were really enjoying time spent there. There are two large fields, one looks like only for camper vans, 2nd for tents and caravans but those 2 are used only in busy time because other that, there is a lot caravan/camper van/tent pitches placed in random spots in the site between mobile houses. It sounds a bit strange but atmosphere is really good and a lot of places is under trees hidden of strong sun or wind. Price per night for caravan is 55 eu with electricity as far I remember but if you want take a shower is extra paid 1eu washing machine minimum 6eu dryer 2eu But all site is very clean, showers, toilets, all site is very looked after by owner traveling all day with his golf cart around a site, some people were complaining in review about him but I think he is ok. He just trying his best to keep site clean and safe. There is one way traffic system and have to be respected even by people cycling, I seen kids riding a bikes wrong way and the owner warned them. What really annoyed me, were water taps. All water taps are momentary and you have to keep pressing to get water flow, imagine wash your hands when you actually use your one hand to press a tap, or washing dishes, the same thing. And in the toilet is only cold water. But that's only one think what really annoyed me. I threw good few pictures it might show you how is this site looking now. Best of luck and have a good time if you go there! PS outside the camping site is lovely lake, we were there with paddle boards and kayak, great fun, but weekend usually very busy and hard to find the quiet place. I attached one video from sun set made by drone.

Just spent a lovely few days in Lough Ennell caravan park. We got a lovely friendly welcome from Eamon and he was very friendly and helpful during the whole time we were there. Facilities were always very clean. The cafe unfortunately wasn't open this time but they were preparing it for opening and I've heard its very good. The touring sites are spread around the site which was nice. Some nice walks around the lake too.
