Tarn Bank suits families and larger groups after a proper base for exploring the Lake District. The three bedrooms—two doubles and one twin—sleep six, with a bathroom upstairs that has a bath and shower. Downstairs, the kitchen/dining room has everything needed for self-catering: electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The living room centres on a woodburner, with a Smart TV and seating spread across the space. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included; there's also a travel cot and highchair on hand if needed.
A step leads into the house from the parking area, which fits three cars. The enclosed front garden has a seating area and furniture for sitting outside, though there is a step down into the garden itself. The cottage allows one pet. Smoking is not permitted indoors. Kendal itself is nearby—it's the main market town for the southern Lakes and the obvious place to stock up or find a meal out. Windermere, with its lake, steamers and shops, lies a short drive away. Walking country starts from the doorstep, with rolling hills and country lanes in every direction.
