Solway Holiday Park

Great site. All staff lovely and friendly. Chalet clean and tidy spacious stayed in a 3 bedroom. Pool well managed by Ollie and team also very clean and tidy. Lovely personalities and customer service 10/10 same for night staff in the entertainment area shannon and girls were lovely. Kids arcade Good fun all staff Great ther too special mention for Jay service with a smile and customer service 10/10 other staff also but didnt get ther names .. nothing was a bother. Thanks for a great fun stay

We stayed on the touring site. The toilets were ok, always had toilet roll. Neighbours were quiet after dark. Grass did need cutting on the pitches though and the roadside did have some slippy leaves on near the toilets which almost caused me to fall. So watch for that. The restaurant - no menus, no cutlery etc on the tables, not very clear that it’s only breakfast rolls in a morning etc. No table service, had to order at the bar even though there seemed to be enough staff which is a bit of a farce if you’ve got children with you. Arcades ok for the bigger children - no “ride on” type rides for younger kids though. Not far to the centre. Plenty to do at nearby Silloth Green for the kids - amusement park, ride on rides, park, splash park, BMW trail. Starfish cafe is nice there for an English or Scottish Breakfast. Would return.

We recently stayed at Solway Holiday Village and honestly it was really disappointing from the moment we arrived. As soon as we got into our caravan, it was absolutely filthy. There was pee left on the toilet seat, nothing had been properly wiped down, and the whole place just felt dirty and unhygienic. Not a great first impression at all. To make things worse, the swimming pool was shut during our stay. They did give us £100 in vouchers for activities, which at first seemed like a decent gesture, but when we actually tried to use them, nearly everything was fully booked. The only thing available was pottery, which the kids ended up doing. We then asked if we could at least use the vouchers on drinks instead, and were told no, which was really frustrating considering we couldn’t even use them properly in the first place. Overall, it just felt like a waste of money and time. We ended up going to Stanwix Park Holiday Centre for the day instead, and it was honestly 100 times better. They had loads to do including swimming, bowling, a sky bar, lounge, café, and arcade. Everything was clean, well organised, and actually worth the money. If you’re choosing between the two, I’d definitely recommend going to Stanwix Park instead.

Do not stay here!! Booked for three nights in June.Arrived at the park which was looking very run down and went to a shabby reception and customer service skills off this lady were appauling and unfriendly.We looked around and the place was disgusing and quite depressing but we overlooked this and went to find our caravan which was in wren close number 8(was like a maze to find and the grass and area was messy and overgrown,no easy to see numbers on caravans and caravans were so dirty,we seen lots of rats near the surrounding carravans and a horrible view of a run down stone building were pigeons had nested😭😭) not a good start at all after driving a few hours...on going in to our caravan it absolutley stunk of smoke,the sofas were all stained and sticky,all countertops hadn't bewn cleaned and the radiators leaked brown oil like substance so the heating would not work(will show pics) handed keys in as we couldn't stay the duration and the rececptiom lady didn't ask why or was everything ok she just carried on talking to a collegue.Called l and asked to speak to the boss and was told the buisness was in administration and had the phome put down on me but as I booked with Hoseasons after complaining and telling them I had to leave as the cleanliness was not good they emailed the owner who I was told ignored them after a couple of weeks waiting and as Hoseasons are only the agent they wern't obligated to offer me a partial refund or gesture for this horrible booking but they did partial refund me for the inconvienience so that was nice of them but certainly Solway staff/management do not care about their customers or the condition of the horrible holiday park they are taking money for! I would say book somewhere else as you will regret it.
