About Church Farm Caravan & Camping Park

Church Farm Caravan & Camping Park is a farm-based site in Sixpenny Handley that takes both caravans and tents. The facilities include showers. Next door to the site is a recreation park with a skateboard ramp and play area, giving campers somewhere to head to beyond the pitch itself.

The site sits on the high street of a small village, with St Mary's Church a short walk away. This is accessible countryside rather than remote, which suits those after a base close to amenities without being tucked far into rural Dorset.

Stayed here and wish we hadnt. Website advertises a restaurant..there was one but had clearly been shut for a while..thank goodness for a shop close by and a great butcher Grounds need attention...no care anywhere Very expensive for what you get Phoned a lot before we arrived...phone not answered Loud dog walkers at 6am waking everyone up Flat coke from a bottle that had clearly been opened a while Rude and abrupt woman who runs it. Just dont bother, there is a lot better close by

A lovely campsite. Stayed for 3 nights over the Easter Weekend. Facilities are excellent, plenty of space for our fold up camper. Unfortunately the restaurant is not open at the moment but does open as a bar in the evenings. You need to drive to another village for a pub or meal out. That saying though there is a great local butcher and a convenience store very close by. The hosts are most friendly and accommodating, toilet / showers are plentiful, clean (& warm, the weather was atrocious so we were glad of a warm shower!). There is a play area for kids which is more than enough to keep them happy all day with a larger play park just a short walk away. Church Farm is right next to a church who's bell rings on the hour every hour (24 hrs a day) some didn't like that but it's not too loud and I found it most charming. We have already booked a return trip later this year so we can hopefully explore the area in better weather!

The site is lovely, very clean and well appointed and good value for money. But the best part is the onsite restaurant and bar. Not only is is great value, but the food is superb, just look at the T-bone steak. This was seasoned and cooked to perfection. My wife’s duck was nicely cooked and seasoned. The Eaton mess was probably one of the tastiest we’ve ever had. Apparently the Sunday Roast is amazing, so we’ve booked our table and will post a review regarding this. The restaurant is open to none residents, Wednesday night is Steak Night!

Great campsite. The staff very friendly and the restaurant served breakfast and evening meals, which was perfect when we arrived on a Friday night. Really good for walking trails and bike routes, owners have information to help. We had a huge pitch which was perfect for our fire pit and bbq set up. Toilets very clean and fab play area for the children. Thanks very much, we’re be back!
