Wheatland Farm

Absolutely gem of a place! Wheatland Farm is the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation – there’s so much for the kids to do, from exploring the treehouse and riding bikes to getting out on the lake, while the adults can unwind and actually switch off. Everything is so well thought out and creates such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We made the best memories here and honestly didn’t want to leave. A special mention to Ian, who is incredibly helpful and friendly – nothing is too much trouble and he really goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a fantastic stay. We’ll definitely be back!

My 4th year this year and have booked again for next year. Amazing place to stay and the fishing is wonderful also 👌 Ian and his family are great hosts.The accommodation is excellent quality also a very safe place if you have small children.l cannot fault this place at all My little place of heaven. Am only glad I found IT AMAZING PLACE.THANK YOU.

If you want a nice, quite and secluded hideaway this is the place. A eco friendly farm. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage with kitchen, living room and deck. A small farm store about 1/2 mile down the road has basic provisions for cooking meals. Also a small convenience store in Winkleigh has most other basics. Watch the hours open on both places as we got caught a couple of times when they were closed.

Wonderful lodges set in a beautiful, peaceful landscape that is looked after by the owners to provide a haven for wildlife, including many different types of dragonflies and plants. An ideal place to stay for anyone who is looking for calm and to reconnect with the natural world. This would also be an ideal retreat for artists or writers. The accommodation is spacious and thoughtfully designed. Thank you for an amazing week in Balebarn lodge!
