What visitors say
Came here for the 1st time this morning for a breakfast with my husband, what a pleasure it was, the views were amazing, the staff were attentive and efficient, the food was wonderfully cooked especially the egg, the sausage was lovely (husband is fussy about ‘cafe sausages’ which it certainly wasn’t) the whole breakfast was the perfect amount. Our waitress was lovely and friendly. Will definitely come again. Thank you

Fabulous place! We went for a quiet break away - husband fishing and me chilling and it was perfect. Beautiful lakes and the accommodation was lovely. The team were all super friendly. The cafe was great also - started each day with a fabulous brekkie. We had a lovely time and will go back.

While I cannot speak to the quality of the accommodation or café as I’ve never used them, I have been to fish this venue a couple of times and can honestly say it’s one of the best fisheries I’ve ever visited. The lakes are stunning and the location is relatively peaceful. There is also a very decent toilet facility which is most definitely appreciated. There a definitely a few peg platforms that could do with some maintenance however. I fished the Copse Lake using a hybrid style feeder yesterday and caught 44 fish! These included a few carp up to almost 10lb, a tench, ide, and a couple of decent roach. However, I was absolutely overwhelmed by F1’s which seem to, unfortunately, be the dominant species in the lake and almost every cast produced another F1 which was a bit of a shame. Maybe it was my techniques or hookbait choice but I was just inundated with them and couldn’t seem to get rid of them. That being said it truly is a beautiful venue and I would definitely recommend getting down there and having a day‘s fishing if you simply wanna get a bend in your rod

This is a wonderful place. I love the grounds and lakes, the area is stunning. The site is looked after and always a joy to visit. The team in the cafe are swift to serve, friendly and helpful. The food is great too. I have one negative. I love cappuccino but I’m served with what is essentially a milky, weak coffee ( any froth / foam is practically nonexistent). You have a professional coffee machine. I think perhaps you need to reflect / retrain on how to provide decent cappuccino. The same is true of latte, simply a weak coffee in a tall mug.
