The Boot Inn

We have just had the most delightful lunch at The Boot Inn. The food, wine and service were perfect. We could not fault a thing. We note it was much quieter than usual, probably due to the event on Friday evening. Please don't let this one off event, stop you visiting. The vast majority of reasonable people find this beautiful country pub to be great! We found it to be great today. Keep going, lovely staff. You do a great job, you run a great restaurant. Sometimes things are sent to try you, it sounds like you have been well and truly tried! You have a great offering, in lovely surroundings, and deserve to do well. We'll keep coming back as you are consistently good, with delicious offerings. Thanks for the fabulous gluten free meal and for adjusting menus for us!

1 Star – Very Disappointing Experience We visited The Boot Inn at Flyford Flavel with high expectations, but unfortunately it was one of the most disappointing meals we’ve had. My wife and I both ordered starters, and they were served cold, which was a poor start to the meal. We then ordered the sirloin steak on the hot rock. Considering the high price, we expected a quality steak, but it was extremely gristly and largely inedible. We ended up leaving much of it because it was so tough. To make matters worse, the staff were unpleasant and didn’t make us feel welcome at any point during our visit. Good customer service can often make up for other shortcomings, but that certainly wasn’t the case here. With the prices they charge, you expect quality food and friendly service. Sadly, we received neither. We will certainly not be returning, and based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend The Boot Inn to others.

We visited here on Tuesday 7th July for a birthday meal. Came as a large party of 11 had booked the conservatory but was a warm day so sat outside on the garden benches. The garden area was lovely and cosy. We all enjoyed our food, portions were very good sizing and managed to take some home. Food came out within a decent time and cleared up quickly. Inside decor is lovely, very modern but cosy vibes would be perfect for an indoor Christmas meal! Staff were lovely, however there was the same young lady we saw running around after everyone all evening and had to wait tables, take orders, deliver and clean up food all on her own so if you are the manager reading this please give her credit she did a fantastic job and maybe next time she could have an extra pair of hands on shift. Being an ex waitress I know how stressful it can be. All in all, our first visit was very pleasant and will definitely be returning. Thank you!

What a transformation since my last visit. Everything has been updated! New bar & seating areas. Lovely cool conservatory which with today's 31oC heat was very surprising. The new outdoor area & pods leading out from the conservatory area looks amazing! Food & offering on the menu are super and what I can say is good value for money Even the gents toilets look great & unique from other pubs! There's a big kids play area opposite the pubs main car park as well! I look forward to staying in the rooms again. The bathroom had been updated and I look forward to future changes to update the rooms 😁 Til we meet again The Boot Inn!
