Chestnut Lodge

Chestnut Lodge is a single-storey log cabin on a beef farm outside Pilling, sleeping four across two bedrooms. Everything you need for self-catering is here: the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge; heating is provided by gas central heating and a woodburner; wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. An enclosed garden with patio and furniture sits beside the cabin, and there is parking for two cars on site.

The layout is open-plan throughout, combining living, dining and kitchen areas in one space. The first bedroom has a king-sized bed, the second has two single beds, and there is one shower room. A utility room with freezer provides extra storage. The cabin suits families or groups of friends wanting a quiet base, though it is no-smoking. The surrounding countryside attracts significant birdlife—resident owls are frequently seen at dusk—and Pilling Sands, a twenty-minute walk away, is known for winter gatherings of Pink Foot geese and Hooper swans. Check-in is after 16:00 and checkout before 10:00.
