Ivy Cottage

The Mountblairy Estate sprawls across Aberdeenshire countryside where the River Deveron carves through woodland, offering easy access to walking routes along the water and deeper into the trees. Ivy Cottage sits as a detached base for exploring this landscape—close enough to woodland trails and river-side paths that you can head out or settle in with equal ease. The coast lies eight miles away for a day trip if needed.

Ground-floor living means everything is on one level: a sitting room with an open fire (logs supplied), a fully fitted kitchen for cooking proper meals, two bedrooms with single beds—one pair can convert to a double on request—and a bathroom with shower over the bath. The sun porch overlooks the back garden, a spot for watching red squirrels or the occasional pine marten that roams the grounds. Parking for two cars is on site. You get bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity included. A washing machine and chest freezer in the garage handle the practical side of a longer stay.

The cottage is yours alone, and pets stay free. The approach is no-smoking throughout. Fishing on the River Deveron can be arranged separately if that interests you.
